Traffic Planner

Location: Norwich NR6

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:30 (30-minute unpaid break)

The Best Connection are recruiting for a Traffic Planner to work within a busy logistics operation based on-site at a manufacturing facility in Norwich (NR6). This is a great opportunity for someone with transport or logistics experience looking for a long-term role with progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and controlling a team of shunter drivers
• Ensuring demountable boxes are presented on time for customer loading
• Coordinating with loading bay teams to maintain efficient turnaround times
• Maintaining accurate records of box and vehicle movements
• Handling telephone and email queries from customers and drivers
• Liaising with external contractors regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Planning and monitoring MOTs, services and vehicle inspections
• Completing general transport and logistics administration
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures
• Providing cover for the Transport Planner when required

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in transport, logistics or traffic planning preferred
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Personable with confident communication skills
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good attention to detail
• IT confident (email and transport systems)
