Team Leader – Assembly Operatives
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000
Location: Abingdon

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)

Are you an experienced assembler with a talent for leading by example? A growing specialist equipment manufacturer in Abingdon is looking for a hands-on Team Leader to guide and support a skilled group of Assembly Operatives. With increasing customer demand, this is a great time to join a company known for its high-quality products and collaborative working environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading a small, capable team to meet daily production and quality goals
• Supporting the team with electrical wiring and system builds using technical drawings
• Overseeing and participating in mechanical assembly of components and full systems
• Mentoring and training team members to support their development
• Monitoring workflow and working with supervisors to solve production challenges
• Upholding health, safety, and quality control standards at all times

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience in mechanical and electrical assembly
• Skilled in wiring, hand soldering, and using hand/power tools
• Confident interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions
• Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving abilities
• A clear communicator who can coordinate across teams
• A proactive, organised leader who thrives in a hands-on role
