The Best Connection are currently recruiting for multiple Team Leaders for one of well established clients in the Winsford area.
The working hours for this role are Monday - Friday on a rotating shift 6am-2pm/2pm - 10pm. This shift will rotate each week.
Job responsibilities include:
- Drive a pro active approach to safety by driving a near miss culture to support a zero accident culture. Ensure the team is adhering to stringent Company policy at all times.
- Support safety audits and ensure actions are followed up in a timely manner.
- Ensure exacting high standards of quality are achieved in line with Medical Device Standards.
- Ensure products and information are in line with customer specification.
- Lead the team to achieve the highest levels of Good manufacturing practice (GMP) across the manufacturing facility.
- To drive improvements in ‘First time through’ and problem solving.
- To drive performance checks and provide clear and accurate information at the appropriate times.
- To plan labour including sickness and holiday cover.
- To encourage and identify opportunities to reduce waste and lower costs.
- Ensure daily adherence to the delivery plan in order to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction (OTIF)
- To attend daily/weekly meetings to provide clear accurate information to the planning teams.
- To develop the team to ensure the highest level of multi skilling across all areas and processes with the team.
- To communicate daily with clear instructions.
- Coach and mentor the team using Lean Leadership behaviours.
- Daily responsibility of performance to achieve a series of business Key Performance Indicators (Safety, quality, Cost, Delivery and People) in line with our strategic business plans.
- The job holder will interact with the Production Supervisor the requirements for Temporary labour and budget spend within the Manufacturing Departments.
- The job holder is responsible for the day to day decision making for the organisation of staff to achieve the Production plan.
- Decisions will be made by the job holder to ensure that all Products are manufactured to high standard of Quality.
- The job holder is responsible for daily leadership of a team of Manufacturing Operators
- The job holder has day to day interaction with all Operations team, and Quality and R&D departments.
- The Job holder is required to use verbal, written, Email and Visual Management communication across all shifts to relevant personnel.
- The job holder will be required to plan all manufacturing activities in the Production Supervisors absence, and then communicate to the relevant personnel.
Requirements
- Educated to GCSE level (including English and Maths) or equivalent
- Manufacturing related background
- Experience of supervising a team
- Understanding of Health and Safety procedures. Human Resources Department -
- The ability to accurately follow instructions
- The ability to read and follow standard procedures
- Excellent organisational skills
- Computer literacy skills
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to be flexible with working hours to meet business demands
- Experience of lean manufacturing (advantageous)
