🚛 Shunter Driver - Ship-to-Shore Operations (Day Shift)

📍 Location: Flixborough Industrial Estate

🕒 Shift: 06:00am - 16:00pm (10-hour shifts)

💷 Pay: £14.90 per hour

⏱ Overtime: £18.62 per hour after 37.5 hours (overtime available)

We are currently recruiting for Shunter Drivers to support ship-to-shore operations, handling steel product movements within a busy industrial environment. This is an excellent opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position.

🔧 Role Overview

You will be responsible for shunting vehicles on-site, transporting steel loads between dockside, yard, and storage areas.

👉 No manual steel handling required - all loading and unloading is completed using forklifts.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Safely manoeuvre and shunt vehicles across the site
• Transport steel loads between ship, yard, and storage areas
• Position trailers for forklift loading and unloading
• Carry out basic vehicle checks
• Follow all site health & safety procedures

👤 Requirements

• Minimum 7.5T (C1) licence required (Class 1 / C+E preferred)
• Previous shunting or yard experience desirable
• Confident operating shunter/tug vehicles on uneven ground
• Strong awareness of site safety and vehicle movements
• Reliable and able to commit to day shifts
• Willing to undergo drug & alcohol testing
