The Best Connection is looking to recruit an experienced shot blaster for one of prestigious clients based in Scunthorpe.

This is an ongoing role that will lead to a full time role for the right candidate after 12 successful weeks.

The position involves working Monday to Friday 06:00 - 16:00.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate shot blasting machines to clean and prepare surfaces for further treatment or finishing.
• Ensure parts are prepared to required specifications and meet quality standards.
• Set up and adjust shot blasting equipment for various types of materials and surface finishes.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Inspect and monitor equipment for wear and tear, making necessary repairs or reporting issues.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a shot blaster or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of different types of abrasives and their applications.
• Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality and precision.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials.
