The Best Connection are actively seeking experienced and non-experienced Sewing Machinists to work for our client Schoolblazer, at their BRAND NEW warehouse, on Castlewood Business Park, Sutton in Ashfield!!
If you do not have any previous sewing machine experience, Schoolblazer offer a paid training school!!
Duties of the role:
- Sewing name tags onto various school uniform items, i.e. blazers, trousers, socks
- Quality checking the name tags in which you are sewing onto the garments
- Cross referencing name tags, with the pick sheet provided
Public transport available from various locations such as Sutton in Ashfield, Mansfield, Alfreton, & Derby!!
Working hours:
- Training hours are Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
- Once you have completed training, working hours then move to 08:00 - 17:00
- You will be required to work any 5 out of 7 days, receiving a weekly rota, as Schoolblazer have a 7 day per week operation during their peak period
- Flexible working hours/days may be requested, therefore if you are interested in this role, please still apply!
- Overtime available during peak periods, such as extra hours or extra shifts
Pay:
- £7.49 p/h (16-17 year olds)
- £10.18 p/h (18-21 year olds)
- £11.44 p/h (21 years old & over)
- Overtime is paid at time and a third after standard 40 hours worked

Once fully trained to client standard, you will receive 5p for every garment processed upon hitting your hourly target this can be up to AN EXTRA £120 ON TOP OF YOUR WEEKLY WAGE!!
