The Best Connection are currently recruiting a Sewing Machinist to work in a production facility based in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture products
• Cut, measure, and prepare fabrics to specified dimensions
• Sew hems, seams, and reinforced edges to ensure durability for outdoor use
• Follow technical drawings, patterns, and production specifications accurately
• Attach components such as labels where necessary
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure consistency and high standards
• Maintain sewing machines, including basic troubleshooting and routine cleaning
• Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines

Hours of work are Monday to Friday - 0800-1600.

This is for an ongoing position to help cover seasonal peaks, with an immediate start.

Pay rate is £12.71 per hour.
