The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in the Welshpool area, a well-established manufacturer of high-quality engineered timber products, who are looking to add experienced and reliable Factory Operatives to their busy Timber Cutting Shop.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company within the construction manufacturing sector.

Working Hours:

7:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)

Includes 2 x 30-minute daily breaks

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate timber cutting machinery, including CNC upcut saws and vertical wall saws
• Accurately cut timber in line with production drawings and cutting schedules
• Read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications
• Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of machinery
• Maintain high quality standards while minimising waste
• Assist with the movement and handling of materials within the factory
• Support general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Work to production targets and deadlines
• Follow all health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience in timber machining, saw operation, or a similar manufacturing environment is essential
• Experience operating CNC or automated saws is highly desirable
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on role
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Good understanding of health & safety in a factory environment
• Applicants must have a valid driving licence and their own transport due to the location (no public transport access)
