Job Title: Recycling Site Operative / Waste Site Assistant

Location: Tunbridge Wells

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Working Hours:

08:00 - 16:30

Any 5 days out of 7 (including weekends on a rota basis)

Job Overview

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Recycling Site Operative to join our team. This role involves assisting members of the public with waste disposal while ensuring the recycling centre remains clean, safe, and well organised.

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, enjoy working outdoors, and be comfortable interacting with the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicating with members of the public and guiding them to the correct skips for their waste disposal
• Assisting visitors with unloading their vehicles and ensuring waste is placed in the appropriate containers
• Helping with the safe handling of heavy or bulky items when required
• Ensuring the site is kept clean, safe, and organised at all times
• Providing excellent customer service and support to site users
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Following all site safety procedures and operational regulations

Requirements

• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to assist with lifting when required
• Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
