Aerospace Quality Inspector Wanted!

Location: Nuneaton
Hours: 39 hrs/week

Monday to Thursday: 06:30 - 15:30
Friday: 06:30 - 11:30

Starting Pay Rate: £18.00/hr (£36,516 per year)
Progression: Structured pay increases up to £45,752.40

This role includes a 24-month training program with defined stages and pay increases:

Step 1: £36,516.00
Step 2: £39,738.00
Step 3: £42,960.00
Step 4: £45,752.40

About the Role

As an Aerospace Quality Inspector, you’ll ensure components meet the strictest standards for aircraft use. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, highly organised, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Component Inspection: Visual checks and measurements using precision tools (callipers, verniers, micrometres, etc.).
Certification & Compliance: Certify parts, ensuring accurate labelling and thorough defect reporting.
Quality Communication: Collaborate with Quality Management to address defects, solutions, and prevention.
Process Improvement: Participate in 5S initiatives and help eliminate non-value activities, all while ensuring top-notch quality standards.
Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on inspection results.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Experience: 2+ years in aerospace, with machining or quality inspection.
Skills: Proficiency in English, Maths, and familiarity with SAP/BDE is a plus.
Precision: Attention to detail is essential, as you’ll be handling final inspections.
Technical Knowledge: Ability to read engineering schematics and follow detailed specifications.
Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence under pressure.

Note: Hours are non-negotiable, and this position requires a commitment to set shifts.

Your Qualifications

Education: GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Desirable: Experience with AS9100 Quality Standards, SAP, and continuous improvement practices.
Mindset: A proactive, “can-do” attitude to support team goals and continuous improvement.
