Quality Operative(s) Required in Braintree!
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for Quality Operative(s) to work for one of our clients based in Braintree. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a global aviation catering company.
Pay: £15.95 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
Shift Times: 12 hour shifts, start times 19:00-07:00 (30 mins break included - unpaid)
Location: Braintree
Duration: Ongoing, Temp to Perm Opportunities

Please note: Due to the nature of our business, we are regulated by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), therefore it is compulsory for all applicants to provide or be willing to obtain the following:
- Be willing to apply for a Criminal Record Check (Paid for by us!)
- Have a full 5-year checkable history (Obtained for you by us!)
- Have an in date and valid Photo ID (Passport, Driving Licence, ID Card etc)
- Be able to provide a full 5-year address history
- Be willing to attend an Aviation Security Course (Paid for by us!)
Main Duties & Responsibilities of a Quality Operative:
- To obtain uplift sheet with daily allocation of work, update sheets for the following day.
- Keep accurate records of changes & transactions (use dispatch notes/uplift sheet to check off meal figures)
- Ensure correct use of stowage labels on each bar/waste cart
- Keep updated on work to be carried out during the course of the shift and note latest amendments.
- To check all equipment and is to satisfactory standard, i.e. in good working order (trolley doors, brakes), clean (old tickets removed), dry and bars for correct specification and quantities.
- Assemble and check allocated flights & ensure delivery to appropriate department/bay/class
- Assemble and check relevant stock/equipment & ensure delivery to appropriate department/bay/class
- Implement Dry Ice procedure as instructed
- To work as directed in different environments for example, chillers and fridges.
Requirements of a Quality Operative:
- Minimum 1 years' experience in catering (desirable)
- Adhere to clean as you go standard & inflight services security compliance
- Adhere to Unit safety measures in place
- Positive Attitude and a Team player
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Numerate
- Good standard of English both written and verbal
- Good standard of Math skills
- Good communication skills
- Be organised, flexible, thorough, accurate, consistent, communicative and honest.
