The Best Connection is currently looking for a Laundry Operative to join one of our well-established clients based in the Shrewsbury (SY1) area. This is a temporary ongoing position the chance to become part of a friendly, hardworking team in a fast-paced environment.

Details:

• Location: Shrewsbury, SY1
• Job Type: Temporary, Ongoing
• Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Please note: Flexibility with start times is required during busier periods.
• DBS check is required 

Key Responsibilities:

• Folding and scanning various types of workwear
• Sorting, washing, drying, and folding laundry
• Packing garments and checking barcodes and labels
• Recognizing and handling different types of garments and products
• Operating laundry machinery safely and efficiently
• Working towards productivity targets in a fast-paced setting
• Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Assisting with general housekeeping duties

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
• Ability to identify various workwear items and follow labelling/barcode procedures
• Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to meet set targets in a busy environment
• Flexibility with start times during peak periods is essential
• Own transport is required due to the location and shift times
