Do you have previous experience within a plater/welder/fitter role?

The Best Connection, are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual, who is self motivated and can work off their own initiative, to join our clients team at their site in Mansfield! This role is working with very large bespoke products. 

Duties of the role:

• Working from CAD drawings to fabricate required parts/assemblies
• Working to production timings and deadlines 
• Working as part of a team, producing orders on time and within our customer’s expectation and quality requirements
• Working on their own initiative, carrying out daily/weekly maintenance checks
• General support in other warehouse duties such as housekeeping, loading/unloading deliveries 
• The main requirement of this role is workshop based, however there may be occasions that you are expected to join their team out onsite, contributing to the fitting and maintenance of products produced 

Skills and experience required:

• Proven experience in welding & fabrication, or a mechanical background 
• Experienced MIG welder (coding an advantage)
• Experience in MMA welding (coding an advantage)
• Safety passport (essential) IPAF certification (desirable) Slinging certs (desirable)
• Good communicator at all levels
• Use of, and able to bring your own standard tools. E.g. Spanners up to 30m

Please note - a full UK driving license is required for this role.

Working hours: 

• 0700-1530 (Mon-Fri)
• 15 minute paid morning break, 30 minute unpaid lunch 
• Overtime available - paid at x 1.5 afters 40 hours and a Saturday & x 2 Sunday
