The Best Connection Dudley are currently recruiting for an experienced Plastic Excursion Operative with FLT on behalf of our client based in Tipton. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with the potential for a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor plastic extrusion machinery to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Set up extrusion lines and adjust machine settings to meet product specifications.
• Carry out quality inspections, measurements, and visual checks on finished products.
• Identify and report any machine faults, defects, or production issues.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
• Operating machinery and supporting machine operators where required
• Monitoring productivity and team performance
• Conducting shift handovers and reporting any issues to management
• Assisting with staff training and development
• Managing stock movements and warehouse activities
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
• Supporting with general warehouse and operational duties as required

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (essential)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Machinery operating experience and/or knowledge would be advantageous
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, proactive, and able to lead by example
