The Best Connection are looking for a Part-Time Delivery/Forklift Operative to join our client based in Upminster/South Ockendon.

This is a varied, hands-on role offering a mix of forklift operation, delivery driving, warehouse duties, and customer interaction.

Please Note:

All candidates must have an accredited forklift operator certificate and license and a full UK drivers license

Pay Rate: £14.51 per hour

Working Hours:

• Monday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
• Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
• Sunday: 9:00am - 1:00pm

There will also be the opportunity to provide additional holiday cover when required.

Duties will include:

• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Driving the company delivery vehicle to farms and stable yards on Fridays.
• Loading and unloading deliveries at customer locations.
• Loading and unloading lorries.
• Checking and signing for incoming deliveries.
• Unpacking, pricing, and organising stock.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Assisting customers with enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
• Supporting with promotional displays and general day-to-day tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be hardworking, reliable, punctual, and flexible.
• Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting throughout the day.
• Hold a valid forklift licence and a full UK driving licence.
• Have an interest in animals or the agricultural sector (desirable).
• Be a confident communicator with a friendly approach.
• Work well independently and as part of a team.
• Be happy working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
