Job Role - Packing Operative (Manufacturing & Production Industry)

As a Packing Operative in Tamworth, you will be responsible for producing, assembling, and packing bespoke export packaging solutions within the manufacturing and production industry, ensuring all goods meet strict quality and export standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing timber crates, plywood cases, pallets, and cartons to specification
• Measuring and cutting materials accurately using hand tools and machinery
• Assembling packaging units using correct fixings and methods
• Packing customer goods securely into bespoke packaging
• Applying protective materials and supports for export transit
• Completing quality checks throughout production and packing stages
• Ensuring compliance with export and shipping standards
• Labelling and preparing goods for dispatch
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area

Requirements

• Good attention to detail
• Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions
• Basic measuring and practical skills
• Ability to work in a physically active role
• Reliable, punctual, and team-focused attitude
