Job Title: Operations Assistant

Hours: 35 per week

Role: Warehouse Operative - Chessington

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a well-established manufacturing and warehouse operation based in Chessington. This is a 12 week temporary to permanent role offering stable weekday hours, excellent benefits, and full training across a range of machinery and warehouse functions.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 - 16:00
• 1-hour unpaid lunch break

Pay:

• £13.00 per hour
• After 12 weeks your pay will rise to £14.01 per hour

Overtime:

• Paid at time and a half (£19.50 per hour)
• After 12 weeks (£21.01 per hour)

Benefits:

• 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays extended to 25 days after 2 years.
• Performance based Bonus structure.

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative:

• Operating warehouse and manufacturing equipment including bandsaws, L-Sealers, and CNC machines
• Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch
• Assisting with goods inwards and stock movement
• Operating FLT equipment where required and acting as a banksman
• Carrying out basic quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements of the Warehouse Operative:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred
• FLT experience is desirable, though training can be provided
• Comfortable working with machinery following full training
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
