The Best Connection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Night Shift Supervisor to join a busy Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader within the recycling sector to step into a key supervisory role at a well-established and expanding operation.

About the Role

Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing night shift activities, ensuring smooth operations, high productivity levels, and strict adherence to health and safety standards.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Leading and motivating a small operational team during the night shift
• Driving performance to meet daily production targets
• Completing shift reports and communicating performance updates
• Overseeing site clean-down procedures to ensure high standards are maintained
• Monitoring and improving recycling segregation processes
• Ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times
• Reporting equipment faults and maintaining operational standards
• Supporting compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation
• Carrying out additional responsibilities as required within the role

What We're Looking For:

• At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory position
• Background within the recycling or waste management industry
• Previous MRF experience is highly desirable
• IOSH Managing Safely (preferred but not essential)
• Mobile plant licences are beneficial (training available)
• Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
• A proactive and flexible approach
