We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to work across a well known manufacturing operation in Burton-on-Trent.

Shifts available:

Monday - Thursday, 12hr shifts (19:00-07:00)

Key duties:

  • Adherence to Company Health & Safety working practices and legislative regulations.
  • Working to high quality standards and within set tolerances.
  •  Quality inspection of product and final packaging appearance.
  • Set up and operation machinery to different specifications.
  • Take an active role in contributing to minimising wastage and production costs.
  • Contribute to the consistent delivery of production targets and budgeted operational performance
  • Demonstrate the competent application of best practices required to consistently operate to high standards.
  • Contribute to line changeovers.
  • Liaise with Assistant Works Manager, Production Supervisors and Maintenance Team for the reporting and repairing of machinery
  • Follow the Company process for reporting hazards, near misses etc.
  • Maintain exceptionally high standard of housekeeping.
  • Flexibility to maintain cover during periods of annual leave and sickness absence as and when required.
  • Understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures which are relevant to both the site and the working environment.
  • Any other duties as deemed reasonable by your line manager.

Key skills:

  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety working practices and regulations
  • Understand and work to set Quality standards
  • Previous Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Machine operating experience
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Agility and flexibility Resilient Pro-active and self-motivated
  •  Active team player, willingness to take on extra responsibilities or help other team members as required
  • Effective time management & organisational skills
  • Ability to maintain and adhere to set standards
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations
  • Flexibility around working hours (nights and weekends)
