MULTI - SKILLED OPERATIVE - Fixed Day Shift | Early Finish Fridays

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative to join a busy and growing engineering team working on bespoke electrical motors and gearboxes. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering a mix of assembly, preparation, spraying, inspection, and packaging work.

Working Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45
• Friday: 08:00 - 14:45 (Early finish)

Pay

• £13.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly of bespoke electrical motors and gearbox components
• Masking motors and gearbox parts in preparation for painting or coating
• Setting up and operating spray equipment, including airline spray guns
• Carrying out paint touch-ups using aerosols where required
• Mixing paint, hardeners, and thinners, ensuring correct ratios are followed
• Preparing surfaces and ensuring components are ready for coating
• Using hand and power tools during assembly and preparation processes
• Electrical wiring of motors
• Painting motors and gearbox components to a high-quality finish
• Conducting quality inspections of painted surfaces to identify defects
• Bolting painted units to pallets and packaging products ready for dispatch
• Maintaining stock levels of paint materials including hardeners and thinners
• Assisting with ordering replenishment of materials (basic PC skills beneficial)
• Supporting continuous improvement of processes

This role offers a varied workload, where you will be involved in different stages of the production process, helping to deliver high-quality finished products.
