Job Title: Mould Maintenance Technician
Location: Banbury
Main Purpose:
To provide multi-skilled technical support, ensuring efficient and effective operation of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and quality issues, using diagnostic skills to identify and resolve problems.
- Program and monitor plant equipment to ensure optimal out put, adhering to quality standards.
- Conduct planned maintenance in accordance with the 'TPM' process.
2. Teamwork & Improvement:
- Work collaboratively as part of the shift team to meet immediate priorities and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide input on manufacturing facilities, including layouts and services.
3. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
- Follow and enforce all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and risk assessments (e.g., General, Manual Handling, COSHH).
- Report accidents, near-misses, and adhere to the Lock Out Tag Out Procedure.
- Follow 5S processes for an organized and safe workplace.
4. Quality Control:
- Address and raise quality concerns, collaborating with other departments when necessary.
- Adhere to standardized working procedures and participate in quality checks.
- Escalate recurring quality issues and ensure all quality decisions account for supply risk.
5. Cost Control:
- Engage in continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, uptime, and efficiency.
- Participate in cost-saving initiatives, error-proofing, and equipment modifications.
- Reduce customer demerits and minimize costs associated with quality issues.
6. Employee Engagement & Development:
- Uphold the company’s employee charter principles.
- Participate in training programs and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Support team members' development and identify training needs.
- Contribute to the company's suggestion scheme and support the Fairness Committee initiative.

Skills & Experience:
- Formal apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic disciplines.
- Strong diagnostic skills with experience in large injection moulding environments preferred.
- Experience with robotics (Kuka, ABB) and hydraulics/PLC work is desirable.
- Strong technical reporting, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and Access, with good analytical abilities.
- Able to work independently, under pressure, with minimal supervision.
