The Best Connection are currently seeking Glueing Operatives to work at our brand new client based in Somercotes, Alfreton!!
Within a glueing operative role, the following duties apply:
- Operate and maintain the carton gluing machines to ensure production runs smoothly.
- Using glue guns to secure edges
- Ensure products are manufactured to the required specifications and meet quality standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance on gluing machines to ensure they are running optimally.
- Record and report machine issues or production-related problems.
PLEASE BE AWARE YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO USE YOUR MOBILE PHONE WHILST ON THE SHOP FLOOR DURING WORKING HOURS!!
Required skills:
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Good time management.
- Positive attitude to learning new skills and the ability to work unsupervised after training.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet production targets and use their initiative.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team, you will be reliable and trustworthy.
- No experience is required for this role but previous warehouse or production experience is desirable.
Working hours & pay rate:
- Monday - Friday on a rotating shift (days - 0630 - 1430, afters - 1400-2200)
- Pay rate is £12.52 per hour
- Overtime available at weekends paid at time and a half and double time
