Are you looking for a hands-on manufacturing role within a growing and specialist production environment? Our client, a leading manufacturer in their field based in Littlehampton, are seeking reliable and motivated Machine Operatives to join their production team on a temp to perm basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and take pride in producing high-quality products. Full training will be provided, although previous machine operating or production experience would be advantageous.
The Role
As a Machine Operative, you will play a key role in the production process, operating specialist extrusion and hot box machinery to manufacture high-quality products for a variety of industries. You will be responsible for ensuring products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a physically active and hands-on position that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining excellent production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating silicone extrusion machinery in line with production requirements
- Setting up and monitoring hot box equipment throughout the manufacturing process
- Conducting regular quality inspections and checks on finished products
- Identifying and reporting any faults, defects, or production issues
- Ensuring products meet strict customer and company quality standards
- Maintaining accurate production records where required
- Assisting with machine changeovers and basic machine adjustments
- Handling raw materials and finished products safely
- Keeping work areas clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety procedures
- Working collaboratively as part of a production team to achieve daily targets
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, or machine operating environment would be beneficial
- Experience operating extrusion machinery is desirable but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, physical role.
- Ability to follow processes, procedures, and health & safety guidelines
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating shifts
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Willingness to learn new skills and develop within the business
Hours
Rotating shift 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10.30pm
Pay
£12.71 per hour paid on a weekly basis
