The Best Connection are recruiting Print Assistants / Machine Operators to join a busy and growing manufacturing business in Scunthorpe.

Working within the Print Department, you'll play a key role in supporting production, operating machinery, completing quality checks, and ensuring products are produced safely and efficiently.

No previous print experience? No problem. Experience within a print department would be beneficial, but full training can be provided.

🔄 Shift Pattern - 24/5 Operation

The site operates 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday, and candidates must be flexible to work both:

🌞 Days: 06:00 - 18:00

🌙 Nights: 18:00 - 06:00

Please note: A 24/5 shift pattern does not mean working 5 days straight every week. Shifts are worked on a rotating basis, meaning you may work:

✅ A mixture of day and night shifts depending on the rota

The shift pattern is designed to provide 24-hour production coverage across the working week, so flexibility is essential.

🏭 The Role

As a Print Assistant / Machine Operator, your responsibilities will include:

✅ Supporting the operation of printing and production machinery

✅ Monitoring machines and production processes

✅ Loading raw materials and removing finished products

✅ Carrying out quality inspections and reporting any issues

✅ Completing production paperwork and records

✅ Assisting with machine set-ups and changeovers

✅ Packaging, labelling, and preparing finished products

✅ Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety

✅ Working towards production and efficiency targets

✅ What We're Looking For

✔ Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred

✔ Print department knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential

✔ Good attention to detail

✔ Reliable and hardworking attitude

✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills

✔ Flexibility to work both day and night shifts

✔ Commitment to health & safety procedures
