Machine Operator / FLT Operator (x2 Positions Available)

Location: Hartlepool

Pay Rate: £13.50-14.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm

We are currently recruiting for two experienced Machine Operator / FLT Operators to join a busy industrial site in Hartlepool. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or production experience and a valid Counterbalance FLT licence to join a hardworking team. This role may become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring cable stripping machinery safely and efficiently
• Carrying out routine machine checks and reporting any faults or maintenance issues, including jams and replacing knives
• Loading, unloading, and moving materials using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck, including cable drums weighing up to 4-tonne
• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Following all company health and safety procedures

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience operating production or manufacturing machinery
• Valid NPORS Counterbalance FLT licence
• Practical experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within the metal recycling industry or a similar heavy industrial environment
