Job Title: 1 x Litter Picker and 1 Recycling Operative

Location: Carlisle

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Working Hours: Litter Picker: Monday to Friday (Split Shifts)

• 06:00 - 10:00
• 13:30 - 17:30

Recyling Operative: Thursday - Monday or Friday - Tuesday

• 07:00 - 15:30

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Litter Picker to join our team at a busy waste recycling site in Carlisle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting and removing litter from designated areas of the site
• Ensuring all walkways and operational areas are kept clean and hazard-free
• Assisting with general site housekeeping duties
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
• Reporting any hazards or issues to the site supervisor

We are also looking for a Recycling Operative for the same site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and separate recyclable materials on the picking line.
• Remove unwanted or non-recyclable items.
• Work efficiently as part of a team.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy.
• Carry out other duties as required by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work split shifts
• Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle due to the site location
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
