Laundry Operative

The Best Connection is currently recruiting a Laundry Operative to join a busy and well‑established operation.

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to support daily laundry operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all laundry items are cleaned, dried, folded, and presented to a high standard in line with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting, scanning, loading, and unloading laundry and dust mats into industrial washing and drying machines
• Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspecting items for stains or damage and treating accordingly
• Folding, packaging, and scanning cleaned laundry items
• Picking driver routes
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area
• Following health and safety guidelines at all times
• Reporting any faults or maintenance issues with equipment
• Ensuring daily targets are met in a timely manner

Requirements

• Previous laundry or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Good attention to detail
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and lift loads
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

• 5‑Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
• 4‑Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 5:30pm

Pay Rate 12.71ph
