The Best Connection are currently recruiting for Kitchen Porters for one of our clients in Thurleigh, Bedford. Hours are Monday - Friday with some Saturdays 07:00-15:00hr, pay rate is £12.71 per hour. Candidates will be need to live locally or have their own transport due to location.

Responsibilities of the Kitchen Porter:

• Assist with the basic preparation of vegetables, salads and desserts if required. General cleaning of equipment and utensils before and after service.
• Follow all food safety and health and safety requirement at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
• Wash, clean and sanitise all equipment as utensils and complete all kitchen checks and paperwork as required.

Requirements of the Food Production/ Hygiene Operative:

• Follow all PPE Food production guidelines, and hygiene protocol at all times
• Be able to commit to 12 hour/8 hour shift patterns on an on-going basis.
• Have own reliable transport or live locally to fit in with shift requirements
• Have a positive can - do attitude with good communication skills
• Happy to work in chilled environment as required.
