Hygiene Manager

Hours: Monday to Sunday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Pay Rate: £23.07 per hour

Employment Type: Full-time

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Hygiene Manager to lead an on-site hygiene team. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality cleaning and hygiene services, maintain compliance, and support continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all hygiene services are carried out and maintained to the required standard
• Manage hygiene staffing hours and ensure all expenditure is authorised and accurately recorded
• Maintain detailed cleaning instructions, schedules and risk assessments in line with BRC food safety standards and customer Codes of Practice
• Conduct compliance audits and inspections of hygiene standards and documentation
• Oversee hygiene chemical usage, dosing equipment, and conduct chemical titration checks
• Promote and maintain excellent Health and Safety standards across the site
• Support microbiological investigations and projects to improve site hygiene performance
• Deliver training and awareness sessions for hygiene and waste-handling staff
• Attend regular catch-up meetings and monthly KPI meetings

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Level 3 Food Safety Qualification (Level 4 desirable)
• Previous experience in a senior hygiene management role within food or FMCG manufacturing
• Strong understanding of HACCP principles
• Health and Safety Level 3 Qualification
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing diverse teams
• Experience participating in BRC and customer audits
