Hospital Housekeeper / Cleaner

Location: Kensington, London (Private Hospital)

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:00 (5 days out of 7, including rostered weekends)

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

The Best Connection is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join the facilities team at a prestigious Private Hospital in the Kensington area.

This is an ongoing full-time position offering an immediate start, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract following a successful trial period.

Key Responsibilities of Housekeeper

• Cleaning and sanitising patient rooms, corridors, clinical areas, and communal spaces to the highest medical hygiene standards.
• Replenishing essential supplies, toiletries, and fresh linen throughout the wards.
• Safe handling and disposal of domestic and clinical waste in line with hospital infection control guidelines.
• Operating standard commercial cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, mop systems, buffers).
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or stock shortages to the supervisor.

Requirements of Housekeeper

• Previous experience in hospital, healthcare, or high-end hospitality housekeeping is strongly preferred.
• A proactive, thorough approach with high attention to hygiene standards.
• Good communication skills and a polite, professional manner around patients and medical staff.
• Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with processing this if required).
• Full flexibility to work across a 5-day rota covering Monday to Sunday.
