Class 2 Skip Driver (Cat C)

Are you an experienced Class 2 Skip Driver looking for reliable work?

The Best Connection Eastbourne is currently recruiting skilled Class 2 (Cat C) Skip Drivers to work with a well-established and trusted skip company.

The Role

As a Class 2 Skip Driver, you will play a key role in day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and safe delivery services. Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely operating Class 2 skip vehicles in line with company procedures and road traffic laws
• Delivering, exchanging, and collecting skips at a variety of locations including residential, commercial, and construction sites
• Accurately positioning skips in line with customer requirements while ensuring safety and minimal disruption
• Planning routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and collections throughout the day
• Carrying out thorough daily vehicle inspections (walkaround checks) and promptly reporting any faults or issues
• Ensuring all loads are secure, compliant, and transported safely in accordance with regulations
• Completing relevant paperwork and/or digital job records accurately
• Maintaining clear communication with the transport team regarding schedules, delays, or issues on the road
• Providing a high level of customer service, representing the company professionally at all times
• Adhering to all health & safety guidelines, including site-specific rules when operating in busy or restricted environments

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous skip driving experience (essential)
• Good knowledge of local routes and safe driving practices
• A reliable, punctual attitude with a strong work ethic
