Our Client based in Melton Mowbray is looking for a Class 2 night shunter to work between the transport and warehouse departments.
Working a Sunday to Thursday night on a 22.00 - 06.00 shift drivers will receive £15.51 per hour which will increase once perm.
This position also involves warehouse work which is accountable for 70% of the role.
This position will offer a permanent position following a successful trial period and offers an immediate start.
We must stress that this position also involves warehouse work which is 70% of the role.
The Role
- Move vehicles around site.
- Check fluid levels to ensure that they are correct.
- Maintain a tidy lorry park.
- Comply with current EU and Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.
- Drive in a safe manner within current speed limits (allowing for local conditions).
- Swap demount boxes to correct chassis ready for the next shift and/ or driver.
- Assist the Logistics team in loading and finishing off vehicles.
- Wrapping products
- Undertake daily vehicle checks using the Asset Go app.
- Complete manual entries on the tachograph unit.
- Ensure that a professional image is portrayed at all times.
- Liaise with the Logistics department regarding any challenges experienced.
- Ensure that the interior of the vehicle is kept clean.
Person specification:
- Valid UK Driving licence
- Category C licence
- Valid Digi card
- Valid Driver CPC card
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible attitude
