HGV Class 1 & Class 2 Shunter Drivers - Longbenton - Day Shifts

The Best Connection is recruiting HGV Class 1 (CE) and Class 2 (C) Shunter Drivers for ongoing day shift work with a well-established client based in Longbenton.

This is a great opportunity for experienced drivers and newly qualified HGV drivers looking to gain yard experience. No Driver CPC or Digital Tachograph card is required, as all work takes place on a private site.

The Role:

• Moving HGV Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles and trailers around a secure yard.
• Cleaning vehicle cabs and trailers.
• Jet washing vehicle exteriors.
• 100% yard-based work - no public road driving or multi-drop deliveries.
• Full training provided - no previous shunting experience necessary.

Hours of Work:

• Day shifts.
• Weekday and weekend patterns available.
• 9-hour shifts with all breaks paid.

Requirements:

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category CE) or Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome.
• Previous shunting experience not essential.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card not required.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and willing to learn.
