The Best Connection Ltd are currently recruiting Class 2 drivers for our client based in Stoke on Trent.  The job will involve collection and deliveries of aggregates, waste/scrap material and redundant assets in a Class 2 vehicle to nationwide customers.

Delivery and collection of allocated loads in a professional and timely manner.
Always remain courteous and considerate to all that you come in contact with.
Drive within the limits of the Road Traffic Act – ensuring compliance at all times.
Cab to remain secure with keys removed when not in use
Maintain good housekeeping and personal hygiene in HGV cab and welfare facilities used, cab to be kept clean inside and out including windows.
Complete daily checks and report defects in a timely manner, ensuring defectives vehicles are not driven until repairs are carried out.
Completion of necessary paperwork and returned within given timescales
Plan route taking account for low bridge, roads unsuitable for HGV’s, sat nav settings.
Ensure competence certification when doing additional tasks.
Return any safety briefs/toolbox talks within the time frame requested and act upon the guidance given.
Follow site and task specific instructions when loading/unloading on customer and Land Recovery sites.
Promote and ensure Behavioural Based Safety practices are used.

Carry out additional duties as agreed with line manager in relation to holiday sickness cover etc
