CLASS 1 HGV TRAMPER
Our client operates from their yard near Pocklington running a fleet of liquid tanker class 1 articulated trucks delivering their product to customers, small and large, across mainland UK. This is largely multi-drop delivery work and can involve any number of deliveries per run. The delivery operation involves coupling up the delivery pipe from the truck to the customers facility, engaging the PTO on the truck, digitally dialling in the quantity to be pumped and pressing the start button. Previous experience of this nature would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
PAY AND TERMS :
- PAYS £ 16.00 PER HOUR
- 45 MINUTE BREAK NOT PAID DAILY
- GUARANTEED MINIMUM 8 HOUR DAILY PAYMENT
- £ 25.00 TAX FREE NIGHT OUT ALLOWANCE
- TRAMPING WITH NIGHTS OUT MONDAY TO THURSDAY USUALLY BUT FRIDAY NIGHT MAY ALSO BE OUT DEPENDING ON THE DELIVERIES NEEDED.
APPLICANT CRITERIA :
- MUST BE OVER 25 YEARS OF AGE FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES
- MUST HAVE OVER 2 YEARS OF CE ARTICULATED VEHICLE DRIVING EXPERIENCE FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES.
- GOOD GEOGRAPHICAL KNOWLEDGE OF UK ROAD SYSTEMS.
- GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
- A LEVEL OF PHYSICAL CAPABILITY TO MANHANDLE THE DELIVERY PIPE.
Our client requires holiday cover in the immediate future but also has firm company growth plans and will need additional permanent drivers for this so this could lead to a long term employment opportunity for the right candidate.
