The Best Connection are seeking to recruit HGV Class 2 (LGV C+E) Day Drivers to work with our client in Shildon. Our client is a flooring retailer. They have a requirement for a Day drivers to support them on an ad hoc basis with ongoing work available.

The role:

• This is a multi-drop role with a typical day consisting of deliveries to stores with some manual handling involved however you will have a drivers mate to assist.
• Drive safely, obeying the rules of the road and following the correct clients procedures.
• To always adhere to Health & Safety Policies and procedures.
• Complete a daily vehicle and equipment pre-trip and post trip check using our clients reporting processes and systems.
• Ensure all customer delivery details are captured accurately via use of a PDA system.

The candidate:

• Full LGV C
• Digi card and up to date CPC
• No more than 6 points on your licence with no DD, DR or IN Endorsements
• Minimum of 12 months commercial driving experience

Hours of work:

• Start time is 07:00am
• Monday to Friday

Pay Rates (PAYE):

• £13.00 flat rate
