£16.77 - £35.98 per hour

The Best Connection are recruiting for Class 2 Drivers to work on a prestigious healthcare contract, delivering essential medical products to hospitals, clinics, and patients' homes across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers who enjoy varied routes, physical work, and providing a high level of customer service while supporting the healthcare sector.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of healthcare products to a variety of locations nationwide.

Duties include:

• Delivering healthcare products to hospitals, clinics, and residential addresses
• Completing up to 11 deliveries per day across the UK, including London
• Handballing products into hospital departments, clinics, and customer premises
• Safe unloading using pump trucks and Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Completing delivery paperwork and Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
• Following healthcare regulations, GDP requirements, and safety procedures
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery point

Full training will be provided on all equipment, including Climb Stackers and Linde handling equipment.

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 04:00 and 06:00
• Basic contract of 42 hours per week

Overtime & Premium Rates

• Overtime paid at basic rate for the first 6 additional hours
• Premium 1 rate paid after 48 hours worked
• Premium 1 continues until midday Saturday
• Premium 2 rate applies from Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday
• Unsociable hours premium paid between 20:00 and 06:00

Vehicles Used

Depending on operational requirements and route allocation, drivers may operate:

• 3.5T vehicles
• 7.5T vehicles
• 12T vehicles
• 18T vehicles

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum of 6 penalty points
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Good attention to detail
• Comfortable with a physically demanding role
• Willingness to undertake a DBS check
