HGV Class 2 Concrete Mixer Driver

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Concrete Mixer Driver to join a well established and reputable company in the Leicestershire area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and reliable driver looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful trial period.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shifts
• 7:30am start

The Role

As a Concrete Mixer Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete to commercial and residential sites. You'll ensure deliveries are completed on time while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 concrete mixer vehicle.
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to customer sites across the local region.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Operate the mixer drum correctly to maintain concrete quality during transit.
• Assist with the safe discharge of concrete at customer sites.
• Complete all relevant delivery paperwork and vehicle records.
• Follow all road traffic legislation, company policies, and health & safety procedures.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.

Requirements

• Previous HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving experience.
• Concrete mixer experience is desirable but not essential, as training may be provided for the right candidate.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.

Essential Criteria

• Full UK Driving Licence with Category C entitlement.
• Minimum age: 21 years (insurance purposes).
• Maximum of 6 penalty points.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the last 5 years.
• Right to work in the UK.
