Class 1 (CE) Tanker Driver - Temp to Perm Opportunity

The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client for a professional and reliable Class 1 (CE) Driver.

Our client operates a fleet of articulated liquid tanker vehicles delivering AdBlue (non-hazardous) to regular commercial customers and vessels docked at ports across the UK.

The Role

Based at the depot in Pocklington, you will be responsible for bulk tanker deliveries, including:

• Nationwide deliveries to commercial customers and docked ships

• A mix of single-drop full tanker loads and multi-drop runs

• Metered deliveries via pre-set digital metering systems

• Coupling delivery hoses to customer inlets

• Operating PTO-driven pumps

Work patterns vary and may include:

• Full week tramping (Monday to Friday), or

• A combination of nights out and day runs during the week

Previous tanker experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The Opportunity

This is a 14-week temp-to-perm position, following a one-week training period. Permanent placement is dependent on successful completion of training and performance.

We are seeking a dedicated, dependable, and professional driver who takes pride in delivering excellent service.

Pay & Benefits

• £16.00 per hour

• Approx. 50 hours per week

• £26.20 tax-free night out allowance

• 28 days holiday accrual per annum

• Parking expenses reimbursed (tax-free) upon receipt submission

Requirements

• Minimum age 25 (insurance purposes)

• Held Class 1 (CE) entitlement for at least 12 months

• Full-time Class 1 driving experience during that period

• No DR, DD, CD, or IN10 endorsements

• Maximum of 6 minor penalty points
