Class 1 Night Drivers - 2 Years Continuous Class 1 Experience Required

Are you an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver with 2 years continuous Class 1 experience, looking for consistent night work with one of the UK's fastest‑growing logistics companies?

GXO at Chorley is expanding its night operation and is recruiting professional drivers who can commit to working every weekend, with availability preferably towards the back end of the week.

Shift Patterns Required - Nights Only

We are currently recruiting drivers who can commit to ongoing night shifts with regular weekend availability.

Preferred shift patterns include:

• Wednesday to Sunday (highly desirable)
• Sunday to Thursday
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday

Drivers who can offer additional flexibility alongside these patterns will be prioritised.

Please note:
Current business requirements prioritise weekend night availability.
Applications from candidates unable to commit to weekend nights will not be considered at this time.

Opportunities for Monday to Friday roles may become available later in the year, and interested candidates are encouraged to apply when those roles arise.

Start Times

• Night shifts only
• Flexible starts between 17:00 and 23:00, depending on route and workload

Pay Rates

Driver Requirements

• Minimum 2 years continuous Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
• Full UK driving licence with CE entitlement
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• No more than 6 points, with no DD, DR or IN endorsements
• Strong knowledge of UK roads nationwide
• Professional, reliable, and safety‑focused approach
• Ability to work every weekend on nights

What to Expect

• Tacho test and driving assessment required
• Upon successful completion, a paid Health & Safety training day will be booked
• Well‑structured operation with consistent night work
