Class 1 Driver (Ad-Hoc Cover) - Immediate Start

The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Class 1 (CE) Driver to carry out ad-hoc cover work for holidays and sickness.

This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for flexible work with a reputable operation based in Goole.

The Role

You will be working on bulk-tippers or curtain-sider work depending on your experience.

• Bulk tipper work
  • Ship-to-shed operations (reversing and trailer cleaning involved)
  • Deliveries to Hull, Goole & Immingham (typically 3-4 drops)
• Curtain sider work (steel deliveries)
  • Transporting steel coils
  • Strapping training provided

This is a hands-on role requiring a professional approach and strong reversing skills.

Hours of Work

• Start time: 06:00
• Finish time: Approx. 18:00
• Ad-hoc shifts (holiday/sickness cover)

Pay & Benefits

• 💷 £15.00 per hour
• ⏱ Minimum 9 hours pay guaranteed per shift
• ☕ 45-minute unpaid break deducted daily
• ✅ Paid induction and driving assessment

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (CE) Licence
• Minimum 6 months CE driving experience
• Maximum of 6 minor points (no major endorsements)
• Must be 25+ years old (insurance purposes)

Desirable (not essential):

• Bulk tipper experience
• Steel / load securing experience
• Curtain sider work
