Job Overview

The Best Connection are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Goods In/Order Picker. This role will involve handling goods in, order picking, and supporting general warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be computer literate, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against purchase orders
  • Inspecting goods for damage and reporting discrepancies
  • Booking stock into the warehouse management system (WMS)
  • Accurately picking and packing customer orders
  • Labelling and preparing goods for dispatch
  • Updating stock records and maintaining accurate inventory data
  • Using handheld scanners and warehouse computer systems
  • Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe
  • Assisting with stock takes and cycle counts
  • Following all health & safety procedures

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous warehouse experience (goods in and/or order picking preferred)
  • Computer literate with experience using warehouse systems or basic Microsoft Office
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good communication skills

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence
  • Experience working in a fast-paced distribution environment
