The Best Connection (Newcastle) are looking to recruit a General Operative for our client based in Cramlington. The business is a building material supplier well known for specialising in wood and timber. Their main focus is to recruit a punctual, hardworking Operative they can rely on to be trained up and use on a long term basis.
Duties will be:
- To provide assistance in the Yard and Factory
- Taking materials on and off the production line
- General labouring (moving timber) for the first few weeks - once trained, candidates will move on to the production area
- Using nail guns to join timber frames
- Stacking finished timber frames ready for storage/dispatch
- General housekeeping duties
The ideal candidate:
- Experience of working in a fast paced work environment
- Comfortable with heavy lifting as materials can weigh over 20kg
- Ability to work well within a team and use own initiative while working alone
- Reliable, punctual and hard working
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am - 16:00pm
- 38.5hrs per week (43.5hrs during peak summer months)
- Ongoing work available all year round
- Potential to be permanent for the right candidate
- Potential for FLT training for the right candidate
