Are you looking for a hands-on role within a growing engineering and manufacturing environment? Our client, a specialist company based in Newport that produces precision laser-cut products, is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Laser Buddy & Packer to join their production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, has a keen eye for detail, and would like to build a long-term career within engineering and manufacturing.

The Role

Working alongside experienced Laser Operators, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the inspection, finishing and polishing of laser-cut products
• Packing finished goods to customer specifications
• Performing visual quality checks
• Recording production information accurately
• Using hand tools and finishing equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Supporting the wider production team as required

Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to develop new engineering skills and potentially progress within the business.

What We're Looking For

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good attention to detail
• Reliability and strong timekeeping
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, engineering or production experience would be advantageous
• Ability to read engineering drawings would be beneficial, but not essential
• Own safety boots preferred

Important Information

Due to the location of the site, candidates will ideally have their own transport or be able to arrange transport to and from work, as public transport links do not directly serve the industrial park.
