FLT Counterbalance Driver (Temp to Perm) - Team Valley

Location: Team Valley, Gateshead

Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Our client, a well-established company within the carpet and flooring industry, is looking to recruit an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join their busy warehouse team based in Team Valley.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking for a temp-to-perm position with a growing business.

The Role

Your duties will include:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Moving stock throughout the warehouse.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties and manual handling when required.
• Ensuring goods are stored accurately and safely.
• Supporting the team to meet daily operational targets in a fast-paced environment.

While the role primarily involves operating the FLT, there will also be some manual handling, so you should be physically fit and happy to undertake warehouse tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in a warehouse environment.
• A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety.
• Flexibility to assist with general warehouse duties.

Experience with Bendy or Reach trucks would be an advantage, but is not essential, as training may be provided for the right candidate.
