Factory Cleaner - Timber Company

The Best Connection is currently recruiting a Factory Cleaner to join a busy timber manufacturing site in Welshpool. This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Location: Welshpool (Timber Site)

Transport

Candidates must have their own transport. There is no suitable public transport for the start time. Although there are buses during the day, the earliest arrives at 9:00am, which does not align with working hours.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 4:30pm
• 45 paid hours per week
• Flexibility required for occasional Saturday overtime or staying later on weekdays

Pay Rates

• £13.00 per hour for the first 45 hours
• £19.50 per hour for overtime (paid after 45 hours)

Main Duties

• General factory cleaning, including floors
• Moving pallets and removing scrap timber
• High‑level vacuuming using industrial hoovers
• Working at height using a cherry picker
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

• Comfortable with manual handling duties
• Confident working at height
• Reliable, physically fit, and health & safety conscious
• Willing to follow site procedures
• Long‑term commitment
