The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Plater to join a well‑established and busy manufacturing company in Pleasley Vale. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled plater/fabricator looking for stable work within a professional workshop environment.

The Role

• Fabrication and assembly of structural steel components
• Manufacturing items such as silos, gantries, staircases, and general steelwork
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Welding and plating to a high standard
• Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Ensuring work meets quality standards and production deadlines

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fabricator / Plater
• Strong welding and fabrication background
• Ability to work accurately from technical drawings
• Experience with large structural steel fabrication
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential)

• Stainless steel fabrication experience
• Welding qualifications (MIG / TIG / MMA)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

Working hours & pay rate:

• Monday to Thursday: 0800-1630
• Friday: 0800-1530
• £15.00 - 17.00 per hour, with the room for negotiation
