Location: Newton Aycliffe

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: 45 hours per week on a rotating 4 Front / 4 Back / 4 Split shift pattern.

Job & Finish: Complete your route early and still get paid until the end of your scheduled shift.

Overtime: Available and paid at time and a half.

Delivery Bonus: Earn an additional 55p per delivery for every delivery completed over 140 deliveries per week.

Role Overview:

We are recruiting for Driver Mates to join our client, Arrow XL, based in Newton Aycliffe. Working alongside an experienced Driver, you will deliver large household items such as furniture, televisions and white goods directly into customers' homes.

This is a physically demanding role involving lifting, carrying and, where required, assembling or installing products (full training provided). You'll be expected to deliver excellent customer service while representing Arrow XL professionally on every delivery.

No previous installation experience is required.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Assist the Driver with deliveries into customer's homes.
• Safely carry products into the customer's room of choice.
• Assemble and install products where required (full training provided).
• Handle products carefully to prevent damage.
• Deliver excellent customer service on every delivery.
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the delivery process.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
• Represent Arrow XL in a professional manner at all times.
• Flexibility to work the rotating shift pattern

The Candidate:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and dependable.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Physically fit, as heavy lifting is involved.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Willingness to complete a mandatory DBS (Criminal Record) check.
• No previous installation experience required as full training will be provided

• Bank Holiday working is required as part of the shift rota.
• Successful permanent employees will attend a two-day Arrow XL induction programme.
• Annual leave requests during the temporary period (including Bank Holidays) must be submitted to the agency with a minimum of two week's notice.
• Job & Finish scheme allowing employees to finish early while receiving full scheduled pay.
