Despatch Team Leader - Manufacturing Environment

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30

Pay Rate: £12.83 per hour

Start Date: Immediate

The Best Connection is currently seeking an experienced Despatch Team Leader to join a busy manufacturing client. This role plays a key part in coordinating daily despatch operations and supporting the smooth movement of finished products from site.

Main Responsibilities:

• Coordinating daily delivery plans in collaboration with the Despatch Supervisor
• Supervising the loading of vehicles, ensuring orders are prioritised correctly and space is used efficiently
• Managing the picking, packing, and preparation of additional items and accessories
• Conducting routine checks on delivery vehicles to ensure cleanliness, safety, and road readiness
• Ensuring goods are received, stored, and despatched in an organised and efficient manner
• Supporting production operations when required, with full training provided

About You:

• Comfortable working in a physical, hands-on role
• Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory position is advantageous
• Confident using IT systems for planning, stock control, and reporting
• Holds a full UK driving licence
• Reliable, decisive, and able to take responsibility
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
