Aviation Connection have an exciting opportunity to join our client Wilson James at London Gatwick Airport as a CUSTOMER CARE AGENT.
As a Customer Care Agent, you will be the friendly face holidaymakers can rely on at the start of their journey. Working closely with the Airport Operations Team, you'll support travelers and ensure a smooth airport experience. This role directly supports a new airline expanding its fleet at LGW Airport, offering a great opportunity with potential permanent contracts for the right candidate.
RATE OF PAY:
- Day shift : £14.01 per hour
- Night shift : £14.74 per hour
- £28.02 for any Bank Holidays worked - Weekly pay every Friday with lots of overtime available.
HOURS: 11:00-23:00 / 12:00-00:00 / 13:00-01:00 / 16:30-04:30 (MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK ANY HOURS)
SHIFT PATTERN: 4 ON / 4 OFF!
MAIN DUTIES of a Customer Care Agent:
- Maintain professionalism, politeness, and courtesy at all times.
- Escort arriving and departing special assistance passengers (and their families, when necessary) through the airport, using wheelchairs, electric buggies, or on foot, based on their categorization.
- Assist with passenger luggage as needed.
- Complete the Daily Equipment Check Sheet to ensure operational reliability, reporting any equipment defects in accordance with inspection procedures.
- Ensure wheelchairs and buggies are kept clean and tidy.
- Update Centralized Control on progress via IT handsets.
- Complete and submit all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Perform any additional reasonable duties as assigned by operational management.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional customer service
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Full driving license (UK or overseas accepted)
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Previous airport experience is advantageous but not essential
Please note: Due to the nature of our business, we are regulated by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), therefore it is compulsory for all applicants to provide or be willing to obtain the following:
- Be willing to apply for a Criminal Record Check (Paid for by us!)
- Have a full 5-year checkable history (Obtained for you by us!)
- Have an in date and valid Photo ID (Passport, Driving Licence, ID Card etc)
- Be able to provide a full 5-year address history
- Be willing to attend an Aviation Security Course (Paid for by us)
